Michigan CPL Class in Macomb County
Prime Defense Firearms Training offers a one-day Michigan CPL class for new and experienced students seeking professional concealed-carry and firearm-safety training in Macomb County.
The course combines classroom instruction with live-fire training and meets Michigan CPL training requirements. Qualifying students receive the certificate needed when applying for a Michigan Concealed Pistol License.
Classes are held in our dedicated classroom in
Macomb Township, Michigan. Students then travel approximately 30 minutes to an offsite shooting range for the live-fire portion.
DO NOT BRING AMMUNITION TO CLASS.
All ammunition used during the live-fire portion must be purchased from the range on the day of class.

Don’t own a handgun? No problem. Prime Defense can provide a loaner firearm at no additional charge.
Do not bring firearms or ammunition into the classroom.
What to Expect on Class Day
Michigan CPL classes are generally scheduled from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and include both classroom and live-fire instruction.
The range is approximately 30 minutes from the classroom. Students provide their own transportation, and range directions are provided during class.

Please arrive on time. Because the course must meet Michigan training requirements, late arrivals cannot be admitted once instruction begins.
Beginner-Friendly CPL Training
No previous firearm experience is required. Prime Defense regularly uses multiple instructors to provide additional guidance in the classroom and at the range, making the course approachable for both first-time and experienced shooters.

Michigan CPL Training Requirements
Michigan law requires a qualifying pistol training or safety program to include at least eight hours of instruction, including at least three hours of range firing time. Required topics include firearm safety, ammunition, shooting fundamentals, Michigan firearm law, conflict avoidance and other required subjects.

Registration and Rescheduling Policy
Please choose your class date carefully.
- All class sales are final.
- You may reschedule once with more than 48 hours’ notice.
- A $40 rescheduling fee applies when rescheduling within 48 hours of class.
- No-call/no-show students forfeit their tuition and must register again for a future class.
Your seat is reserved specifically for you once registration is completed.
