Your One-Day CPL Class in Macomb Township
Our Michigan CPL course includes five hours of classroom instruction and three hours of live-fire training. Classroom instruction takes place at our Macomb Township location. Students then travel to an offsite partner range approximately 30 minutes away.

Your CPL class begins at 51261 Milano Drive, Macomb Township, MI 48042, inside the front office of L&M Tool Company. Milano Drive runs north from 23 Mile Road, between Hayes Road and Garfield Road.
Because Macomb Township covers a large area, the easiest approach depends on whether you're arriving from the west or east. Use the directions button to confirm the best route from your home. You can also review traffic and construction at MDOT Mi Drive .
From Western Macomb Township via Hayes Road
If you're starting near Hayes Road, Card Road, or the western side of Macomb Township, travel toward the intersection of Hayes Road and 23 Mile Road. Head east on 23 Mile Road. Watch for Milano Drive on your left, before reaching Garfield Road. Turn left (north) onto Milano Drive and continue to 51261 Milano Drive.
From Eastern Macomb Township via Garfield Road
If you're coming from the eastern side of Macomb Township, near Garfield Road or the Chesterfield Township border, travel toward 23 Mile Road. At Garfield Road, head west on 23 Mile Road. Watch for Milano Drive on your right, before reaching Hayes Road. Turn right (north) onto Milano Drive and proceed to the classroom address.
Parking and Finding the Classroom
Park in the lot at 51261 Milano Drive. Look for the Prime Defense class signs outside and enter through the front office of L&M Tool Company. Our classroom is inside that building, so do not look for a separate standalone Prime Defense storefront.

Arrival Time and Offsite Range
Please arrive between 7:45 and 7:50 AM so you have time to park, find the front-office entrance and check in before our 8:00 AM sharp class start.
Following classroom instruction, students drive themselves to an offsite partner range approximately 30 minutes from the classroom. Range directions are provided during class. Each student is responsible for transportation.

Do I need to own a handgun?
No. A loaner firearm is available at no additional charge.
Can I bring my own handgun?
Yes, if it meets class and range requirements. Keep it unloaded and securely stored until arriving at the range. Firearms are not permitted in the classroom.
Can I bring my own ammunition?
No. Ammunition used during class must be purchased at the range.
Are range fees included?
Yes. Range and target fees are included. Ammunition is purchased separately.

Concealed Carry Classes and CPL Applications
Is a concealed carry class the same as a Michigan CPL class?
People often use these terms interchangeably. A first-time Michigan CPL applicant must complete pistol safety training meeting Michigan's legal requirements. Prime Defense's one-day Michigan CPL course is designed to meet those requirements.
Can students from other cities attend your Macomb Township class?
Yes. We welcome students from throughout Michigan. You do not need to live in Macomb Township to attend our CPL class.
Will I receive my CPL at the end of class?
No. You'll receive your signed training certificate after successful completion and then apply through your county clerk.
