You do not need to own a handgun to attend. If you need equipment, we provide a loaner firearm and loaner eye and ear protection at no extra charge. Instead of guessing what to buy before your first class, you can focus on learning.
Before the range portion, instructors explain safety rules and carry responsibilities in the classroom. Questions are welcome throughout the day. For example, you can ask how a law or safety rule applies to a situation you want to understand.
Experienced shooters can also use the class to review safe habits and Michigan law. Meanwhile, first-time students receive patient support as they learn. Our goal is to make each lesson clear before you move to the next step.
